End of April 2010 we took our vacation again to Varadero,Cuba with Air Transit. It was an overnight flight. We arrived at 6am at the Varadero airport and were bussed to our resort TRYP. Rooms were not ready and we were told to wait till 2:30pm and then ask again for it. I attended the orientation meeting at 10 am. (We were advised by the bus entertainer to rest first and take the orientation meeting the following day..ha ha). I was asking about the room at the meeting and Martha, the Air Transit representative told me that it was my choice to take a charter flight and that is what I can get. She told a few phrases about the resort and how to drop of money on her desk for day trips and left no doubt: she didn't care. The year before we went to this same resort and were greeted by the resort director, who then introduced to us the entire entertainment crew. How pleasant that was! This year it was some bored lady, who kept telling that this was her last week in this resort. We were stuck with no one to turn too. I asked the receptionist if we could get a room earlier and they made it happen. I solved the problem my own way.
On our last day we were told that the buffet in the main building was closing for 3 months. I don't think Air Transit revealed that to anyone arriving at that time. The quality of this trip was very low and i felt taken, humiliated and left. i wonder what Air Canada has to say about this?
