Having read a few dodgy reviews of Thorness Bay, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised!



We arrived a little early and found our bronze caravan ready which was a nice start.



We were directed to our acommodation and upon opening the door were waiting for the grim interiors and bad smells other reviewers have complained about. Instead, the caravan smelt nice and fresh and was immaculately clean. The bedlinen was also clean and fresh and the caravan contained everything we could possibly have needed for our stay.



The park itself was clean, tidy and well kept.



Although we didn't use the entertainments much, once again everything seemed well kept. The pool was nice and clean, if a little busy and the same could be said for the bar. We visited the cabaret bar a couple of times and whilst it's hardly Las Vegas it was a bit of fun!



The stroll through the woods to the beach was lovely and a welcome break from the scorching sun. The little bay is a natural beach with stones rather than sand so might not suit everyone. We loved it and found it ideal for kayaking as you can also drive right down to the beach.



All in all a fab break. Ignore the moaning minnies and try it for yourself!
