Good Points
Easy to use.

Bad Points
The 80 gig version has a software omission, Hitachi did not implement the "padding" option of starting the program 1 or 2 minutes early and continuing for say 5 minutes after the published time. The result is that sometimes i miss the start and end of the pro gramme, Hitachi say they have no intention of releasing a software update and suggested i took it back to Argos and bought a different make!!! The work around is to make "timed" recordings rather than "events", but then all the info about the pro gramme is lost, i,e the title of the recording becomes just the name of the the TV channel and the date, you have to remember what it was, you cannot edit the name to put it back, very frustrating, I did not return it to Argos, its good points out weigh these bad ones.

General Comments
Generally a very good product spoiled by Hitachi not fully implementing the features that are actually detailed in the manual.
