Bad Points
Watching can be habit forming!

General Comments
The Jeremy Kyle show is great for day-time viewing. It is annoying, happy, sad, angry, touching or sometimes thought-provoking.

Many different subjects are discussed on the show, mainly with dysfunctional families, cheating partners or people whose lives are a mess through drink, drugs or domestic violence. Children who go off the rails, parents who for whatever reason have been disowned by their children. Parents who are not bringing up their children very well where the children are upset and worried, or parents who are trying to bring up children in very difficult circumstances.

Jeremy first runs through an explanation of the problems then brings on family members involved in whatever problem they have individually. Often the sparks fly, words are bleeped out, security steps in and Jeremy remains calm until it is time for him to say his piece. People storm out, Jeremy follows them to get to the heart of the problem by talking to them backstage, while the cameras are still running.

He has a great way of talking to these people, often calming down a situation and making it possible for people to discuss with each other whatever difficulties or problems they may have, in an attempt to make everyone happy. He offers those involved counselling after the show where it is needed.

People in the audience are allowed to voice their opinions, often to the anger of those on stage who really don't want to listen!

When Jeremy has heard what all these people have to say, and he listens from all sides and points of view, he goes on to say his piece. And by God does he lay into some of them! He says just what you may be thinking! The guy is brilliant!

The show usually finishes with some sort of resolution or conclusion and often people are brought back to the show to see just how they are getting on since their last appearance.

Jeremy Kyle usually gets results. A program that when you watch it you will probably want to watch it again. It makes great viewing, not as aggressive as the Jerry Springer Show, Jeremy makes it quite clear he will not have foul language or violence of any kind on his show, any foul language is bleeped out and any attempts of violence the camera goes off the set, security comes in and Jeremy expresses his great distaste at those involved. And boy does he get some angry people there at times! It's great to see them brought down to Earth so quickly! It is Jeremy's extremely professional and diplomatic manner, his patience, his disgust and his sympathy with people that make this show such great viewing. At sometime, someone will hit on a problem you may have either experienced in life or someone close to you has. And some things in this show may make a lot of sense to you. Very thought-provoking to see how other people live or survive or fail in life, and how they either make good, or not.
