“Overall, I think it is a good little car. Maybe I have...”

Good Points
This car has been great, in the respect that it's very economical on fuel and cheap to insure.

Bad Points
When I first bought it I had to take it back to the garage because there was an engine fault. The CPU (whatever that is) was very expensive to fix, but luckily it was still under warranty. I might add, that previous to my Saxo I had a Citroen AX (basically the old version of the Saxo), which had the same fault with the engine, and I was advised not to get it fixed as it would cost more than the car was worth. It had lots of minor things wrong with it; ie. interior light, leaks water when it rains and the passenger door doesn't shut properly. It has no power steering, which I find a right pain only being small, and for a small car it's very heavy! Reliability wise it's been good. It never fails to start, even in the winter, but it does keep cutting out until it's warmed up. I have also replaced the exhaust, and I have just this week had to have a new clutch fitted after 50k miles.

Overall, this car has cost me a hell of a lot of money in the short time I've had it.

General Comments
Overall, I think it is a good little car. Maybe I have just been unlucky with it, as mentioned previously it's a good little runner, great on fuel and very nippy, although the top speed is only 90mph, and the Citroen Saxo X 1.1i struggles to get to that!!
