Argos has changed their policy! I was in today and saw a poor old lady being told she couldn't get a refund as her alarm clock was opened.
She had the packaging, she had the receipt, she was within 16 days and they wouldn't refund her at all.
Never in my history of Argos have I known them to come up with a lame reason for not accepting the return - because the packaging was open???
Argos has changed their policy and that is what they were known famously for and why people actually trusted them.
You might as well buy online, its the same deal! (But better as Distance Selling Regulations allows inspection of products!)
