“Aftercare non existent ”

I have been with Boots Opticians for a good few years now for reading glasses only. I used to use the City Branch at Moorgate but after being made redundant I have been using the Palmers Green Branch.

Today I went in as my reading glasses (less than a year old) needed a new nose piece. The lady in there said it would be £2 but they couldn't match it so it would be £4 to replace both sides. I told her how old the glasses were and she said "If you bought an iPhone from Apple and you cracked the screen you would expect to pay". I pointed out that I hadn't damaged the glasses, the nose piece had fallen off. She then told me I should have bought insurance for £25 - which to me doesn't show much confidence in the products they sell!

I will never use Boots Opticians again.
