“Tickets no longer available!!!”

I purchased two tickets to see Ed Sheeran in Newcastle in April (or so I thought)

I received an email confirming that UPS had collected the tickets from the seller and they were on route to me within 2-3 days. This was on 14th Feb 2017.

The tickets didn't arrive, so I checked on the UPS website and it stated, they have been collected but no further information was available. I called Getmein last Friday (3rd March) to be told they would look into it immediately as they couldn't get hold of the seller at the time of my call and call me straight back.

So, I waited for the call and didn't receive one, so I called them today (8th March) and was on the phone for just shy of 40 minutes.

The end result of the conversation - the seller did not have the tickets I purchased available and accidentally stipulated that the tickets had been despatched and they were no longer available.

Getmein stated that they would look to get me the same or better tickets for the concert but it could take up-to the week of the event to get an answer or I would be "guaranteed a refund"

I paid almost £500 for tickets for me and my better half to go and will probably be the last time we get chance to go in the near future as we're due a baby later this year. So a refund is just not acceptable. We have paid for a hotel already to stay in Newcastle and we were so excited to be going!

The fact that no one called me from Getmein after my first telephone call to them and it took a second call from me into them, to be told this, is simply bad customer service. It seems they have no systems in place to avoid these things from happening and as long as they get their £80 booking fee then they don't seem to care!

I looked on the site to see if other tickets in a similar block were available, but to my horror, they were £496 each and that was without the booking fees!

I personally think Getmein should be withstanding the difference in payment as this is not my fault at all!
