I paid for an item via Nochex (www.nochex.com) with my Visa debit card. Two weeks later an unauthorised withdrawal, which had been paid for in USA Dollars appeared on my statement ( I am in the UK). Thus my Visa card details had been stolen. Luckily I discovered the transaction three days after it had happened and so I cancelled my Visa card. The payment was to a cancer charity, which is a well known 'card tester' , meaning that the thieves will make a small charity donation in order to test if the details of the the card that they have stolen are correct etc. and, as a lot of people do not mind giving to charity, many people will overlook it on their statement and take no action, then the thieves will move in for the 'sting' and rob the account of a very large ammount.

There is no other way that my details could have been stolen.

I would advise everybody never to buy via Nochex, their security is diabolical. You risk having your debit or credit card details being stolen and losing an awful lot of your money if you do.

Of course, we are each responsible for our own actions and thus, all I can say therefore, is paying via Nochex is entirely at your own risk and I for one, will never do so again, regardless of how much I want the item that I wish to pay for.
