“Disappointed”

I was bought a Red Letter day experince as a gift
My husband and I chose a weekend hotel break and added our own money to it so we could have a full weekend and nice dinner
I booked the Mcure Hotel Bradford from the choices it looked nice
However due to unforseen circumstances i asked to change the date we had a sick family member and needed to be at home that weekend
The hotel were rude and refused the date change or any refund as in their words we were voucher customers and voucher customers cant change dates or be refunfed
I offeted to pay an admin fee to them if they would allow a date change
The answer was still you are a voucher customer and we dont allow it its our policy
I called Red letter to ask for help spoke to a woman who promised to call me the next day guess what no call so i emailed them today and there response was the same as the hotel saying they could do nothing as that was that hotels rules
I was again not offeted any kind of refund at all
The voucher and the money we put to it amounted to 180.00 which is now lost and in red letters and that hotels pocket and they need not do a thing its just profit in their bank
No empathy was shown to me or my situation just no no and no
Red Letter offered me 20% off a different experience but if they think ill pay them even more money to throw away on another experience well what a joke
I dont trust them they are inflexable and i wont ever use them again and suggest you dont either
