Absolutely shocking company. I worked for the Leyland Branch 10 years ago as a Salesman and have always considered Arnold Clark genuine and honest.
I took my vehicle in for a MOT after checking all the bulbs myself and as usual (they have done this for the last 3 years) one of the bulbs was off. I offered to fix it and they could run it through again, they refused and said that I could either pay £20 for them to look at it and diagnose it or they could fail it and I would need to put it through again. I thought, oh well they'll have to put it through again another day after I have checked the bulb myself.
When I got the car back I could see straight away that they had done something to the headlight and on further inspection they have purposely snapped a clip that hold the bulb in place. The result is that I need to purchase a full new headlamp at circa £180 to fix what they have done. I asked for the video that they take when they carry out the MOT in the hope of spotting the condition of the headlamps when they went in and can you guess what? They video was never taken, this is despite it being on the invoice so you can come to your own conclusions regarding if they have destroyed the video or not.
I know that they generate work for the mechanics however what they have done is bang out of order and I hope they get their comeuppance.
Avoid like the plague!
