This pub is a prime example why so many pubs are closing down.
Waited 1 1/2 hours before the food arrived a standard Sunday beef menu with Yorkshire pudding - The first plate served was cold, the Yorkshire pudding had been out off the oven for a minimum of 10 minutes, as it was cold to the touch, carrots served were not cooked at all.
Complained to waitress - the 2nd plates served the beef was sub standard fatty and overcooked, the Yorkshire pudding was burnt to a black something.
The pub was 3/4 empty due to bad weather [started snowing while we were there] - the staff were running around [headless] and to pay had to wait another 20 minutes [paid in cash]... There are three fireplaces in the oub, at the time we went 1 was light and others laid out with all but not light result a cold pub. The flowers on the tables had seen better days say 2 weeks ago... Sorry but for what the price were and that it was a set sunday menu card - it would be better to close the place...
