Good Points
Power (hovers very close to 12 ft lbs max power)
Accuracy (if I miss, it's my poor skill, not the rifle!)
Engineering quality (blueing, build, strength of components)
Looks (easier on the eye than the T model.
Bad Points
None, although it is a heavy rifle...try before you buy.
General Comments
After having some air leak problems with my MK1 HW100T, I sent it for repair and bought a MK2 Sporter variant. I love the stock shape (although the thumb indent on the rear of the action is slightly square for me).
The chequering on the stock really makes this rifle stand out from the thumbhole (HW100T) version and friends have commented that they prefer the shape to my thumbhole version.
The loading system is the best on the market - no question! I have shot thousands of pellets through my HWs and they simply don't jam (something no other manufacturer can honestly claim).
Accuracy is, unsurprisingly, Weihrauch usual pellet on pellet at 35 yds. I like the pressure gauge on the end of the cylinder (some don't) because I can calculate how many shots I have left (usually over 100 when filled to 200 bar).
The rifle is heavy with my large scope, bipod and laser/tac light combo, but what a potent hunting kit!
This rifle will target shoot, stalk and give you years of reliable service (providing you maintain it properly).
The MK2 quickfill takes all the pain out of refilling the air cylinder - no more cross-threading dramas. You will have to buy a connecting tube from the air bottle adaptor to the Quickfill adaptor though.
Alternatively, use a handpump and build those biceps.....
In summary, this is a superbly engineered rifle that, whilst expensive, has no real competition in the UK market.
I now have 3 Weihrauchs (HW100T, HW100S and a HW45). I don't buy tat and I am prepared to pay for good engineering,. The Sporter has impressed me so much that I've not bothered to rush the importers to return my 100T after the service!
An awesome rifle that is, in my opinion, the best all-rounder on the UK market.
