Good Points
Clear, sharp photos, good depth of field
Bad Points
too easy for dust to egress into it
General Comments
I have owned a Sigma 28-105 f2.8-4.0 for nearly 10 years, initially with my F60, and then moved it on to the newer D50 a few years ago.
Great little workhorse, the range 28-105 is great so that you dont have to be swapping lenses every five minutes (unlike ithe useless 18-55 that Nikon supplied with the D50).
It complemented very nicely my 70-300.
Unfortunately the lenses has accumulated dust inside it for the past 10 years of work, and was prone to getting dust inside the workings, especially when working with it in the Sahara desert.
Unfortunately its finally given up the ghost and is now overexposing every shot, but seriously, after 10 years of work its only now needing a service!
This is great value for money! I only hope that the newly made versions are as robust!
