Before I used this product I had never coloured my hair before and it's something I've wanted to do for a very long time. Very slowly turning grey at such a young age promted me to go for it. I used 454 Chocolate Brownie.

My hair before was a medium brown, quite flat colour. I wanted some tone to it, and redness.



I did a test strand of hair first as I wasn't brave enough to do the whole head straight away. After feeling happy with that I decided to do all my hair.

I was concerned I'd left the colour laying around to long whilst I did my test strand but this didn't have any effect on the end result.

I began colouring being quite ungenerous with the amounts I was using. It wasn't until I'd almost finished I realised I still had half a bottle left and started laying it on quite thickly. My hair is half way down my back and very thick. I'd brought 2 boxes thinking I'd really need it but that was totally unnecessary. By this point I'd spent quite a long time applying the colour and so decided to only leave it on for 15 minutes.



After washing it off in the shower, drying and styling it I couldn't have been happier with the result. It wasn't too dark and under the light has a lovely redness to it & all greys covered. Just what I'd wanted.



The colour I ended up with was exactly the same as the colour on the box. It comes with great gloves, plenty of product & the conditioner it comes with is fantastic.



I'd recommend this to everybody. Home hair colouring is obviously for anybody who wants to go 1 or 2 shades within your natural hair colour and the colour I picked was perfect.
