“difficult to contact, added renewal management fees”

received auto renewal notice in post several weeks before renewal, I had not authorised AUTO RENEWAL, BUT THEY CHARGED MY CC BEFOREHAND ANYWAY, with an uncompetitive amount £50+ more than any others for the same insurance and excess)
Tried four times to get through over three week period, before the new policy date, to stop autorenewal. twice no answer after 30 minutes in the daytime, once I got through again after 30 mins wait, and they offered a call back that never came, fourth time got through after 20 minutes in Queue they said they could not do better price but would repay.
The laugh is they then quoted the lowest premium on a comparison site that was £60 cheaper than my renewal for exactly the same insurance.

I have completely lost any trust in Bennets, if underhand measures is what they resort to in order to retain good low risk customers, ask yourself what would they do when it came to a claim.
