“Totally dishonest ”

written by Totallydecieved on 10/02/2017

I bought a car from the Widnes branch and had it delivered to the Chingford office, on inspection I had noticed a few marks on the door, writing in fact which I pointed out and also some scuffs on the front wing.
They pointed out that the scuffs were within accepted norms but they would remove the other marks.
I recieved a call from the sales executive I was dealing with where I confirmed I would go ahead with the purchase, he was keen for me to take out the Williams cover but I had said that this was pointless unless the bodywork was taken care of first. He agreed that he would speak to the site and get these done if I would agree to take out the Williams coating, which I did o the understanding that they would waive the delivery charge also.
Car was delivered to Chingford and I agreed a pick up date and time.On arriving at the office it was clear that none of the work had been carried out as the writing on the door was still there and the stone chips had not been touched.
I made this point to the site rep and my displeasure at what I found, he immediately agreed to remove the cost of the Williams coating which I thought was a bit odd but accepted it. I paid for the car but was charged the delivery fee .
I made my feelings clear to the site and by email to the sales guy who apologised for my experience and said he would investigate.
On returning home I emailed customer service and stated that there was no after care kit for the Williams and could this be sent on, she initially agreed to do this but then today told me that the Williams coating was not supplied due to bodywork issues and that I had agreed to have it removed.
To intially try to charge me for something they didn't do is dishonest if not fraudulent, If I had not raised the issue about the bodywork I would have paid for this.
