Bad Points
Town fuel consumption, circa 22mpg
General Comments
The Saab 9-5 Saloon 3.0t V6 is spacious, safe and comfortable over long distances. Softer riding than an equivalent BMW or Mercedes, but this suits the smooth engine delivery. Very torquey so driving around at no more than 2500 revs is usual.
Economical out of town- 33 mpg on a long run is not out of the question.
Rare Griffin variants are the ones to go for; air conditioned seats, electric sunroof, 9 speaker Harmon Kardon stereo all add to the luxury.
