Nice looking laptop
Good specification for the money
The software supplied is not very good, in particular McAfee. The fan kept cutting in on a regular basis. It seems to be connected to the battery, and it slows the machine down. I complained to technical support, after a major effort to get through.
Although the Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop is a good spec, the on-line and phone technical back-up is frustrating I spent 60 minutes plus waiting for a technical person, and it took over 3 phone calls and several e-mails before I got a response. Dell offered a repair as the only choice, and I kept being told that was the only option, and after 7 days of ownership. There is no way can you get your money back. I did not want a repair, so I insisted on a refund. I had to escalate to a senior person after 3 attempts, and I will get a refund. I am not happy with their attitude.
