I ordered a garden box from Homebase to be delivered to my daughters address in London. The box was too big to go in my car (approx 5ft wide x 4ft high x 2ft deep) which is why I had to have it delivered.
UK Mail who are a firm of clowns masquerading as couriers play a little game called 'Guess when we're going to deliver your package'. They say they are going to deliver it on a certain day and then try and deliver it the day before. When that doesn't work and you tell them to deliver it on the day which they said they would, they don't bother. They call this 'by error'.
They then say they're going to deliver it the following day despite being told there would be no-one in to sign for it. The parcel duly arrives in the middle of the day all signed for by a ficticious person and the consignment just left in front of the address for anyone to come along and help themselves. As it happened my daughter decided she would work from home the following day so she could take delivery of it but as stated previously they just dumped it and the driver signed a fictitious name.
When I told UK Mail about it being dumped and the fictitious name, they said the driver got someone to sign for it from the upstairs flat. I have since told UK Mail this was a fairy story and that the driver was treading on dangerous ground falsifying documents by the fictitious name and they have just ignored it.
This is how they treat the customers of companies who they deliver for; sheer contempt. They don't give care for these customers and I certainly will not and recommend other persons not to order from Homebase or whoever uses these clowns ever again.
