Good Points
cheap and cheerful Sometimes does what it says on the tin (if its not in the garage that is)

Bad Points
Windscreen leaks (rust all around top of screen needed to get a new windscreen to temporarily sort that out) general rust on bodywork. The van has proved to be very unreliable in 76000 miles of long distance work. Here is just a few things that would appear to be standard points of failures on these vans. 1- Injection pumps leak (1000 + Fitting and hard to get hold of must be done by someone who has the ability to code the ecu! who is going to nick it anyway! perhaps someone who likes to throw money away as I certainly wouldn't use it as a get away van) 2- Charging light comes on but battery is still being charged, (until today that is! back to the dealer again as they are the only people with the diagnostic kit). 3 - Gearbox remote packed up (could only select 2nd gear very common apparently) still I was told by the garage that fixed it (and who were very reasonable) that it was lucky I didn't have the version that dropped a bolt down ito the gearbox as this smashes the entire gearbox to bits, clutch, flywheel the lot. Whehey got away lucky there. 4 - Bottom hose went due to ingress of diesel from the leaking pump, that wasn't cheap either. Time to let the thing go to someone that might appreciate it, as I certainly don't.

Do yourself a favour and stay away from this model!
Ford used to make good reliable vans. What happened? They now appear to be, well, a bit troublesome and very badly finished. Its not as if I have just been unfortunate as I know courier drivers whos transits have all suffered from the majority of the aforementioned faults. Well ITS SPRINTER TIME FOR ME.In my opinion If you value your business stay well clear of it.
