I've been using PetPlanet to purchase my dog food and misc. dog products for quite a long time, about 2 years-ish.



They are certainly usually cheaper than most online pet stores, but it still pays to check the competition out as usually doesn't mean "always."



Delivery is usually faster as well, providing there are no snowstorms in Scotland, in which case your order may turn up several weeks late. I am still not sure how much of that was PetPlanet though, and how much of it was the courier.



Customer service could use a bit of work, it's generally decent but it can sometimes take them awhile to respond to a query, (for example, I am still waiting, 3 days now, for a response to an email asking about when a product will be back in stock) But if you call them usually they are decent at resolving issues.



The website is decent with multiple search angles, making it fairly easy to navigate to the products you want. Sometimes, however, when you click on an individual product to have a closer look, the page will come up blank, making it impossible to purchase. You can refresh all you want, and there is no problem loading other pages, but these "ghost pages" as I call them can be a bit of a pain. The website, therefor, could use a bit of work.



Still, in spite of some minor drawbacks, generally it's the cheapest, and the quickest to deliver, and they DO take great care to carry top quality pet products. I recommend it.
