I emailed Cinema Paradiso asking for reprieve on a DVD that was returned one day late because I was stuck out of the country due to the volcanic ash disruption. Got a robotic email back saying that they would not give me a refund but would allow me to use the month I paid for. I tried to accept their offer (as I have no choice), but then they just sent me a barely altered version of the robotic original email. Responded to that to tell them *again* to activate my account, but haven't heard anything back. No customer service phone number available. I don't like being held in limbo by a company that just sends cut and paste responses and doesn't allow you to speak to a human. Sets off alarm bells, tbh.
