I owned this car from new in 2008 for 2.5 years. Now got rid of it for a reliable Toyota before the warranty expired.

It's a shame about my experiences because I liked the car, easy to drive, cheap to run and service etc.

After less than 1 month from new the paint started peeling from the sills soon after the trim fell off the bottom of the tailgate! It's had three radio/cd head units.

The worst problem has been the steering, the power steering failed after 6 months and required a comple steering column. The steering rack failed at 18 months also requiring renewal. I had to fight with the dealer to get these done because they denied any faults!?

The rear passenger doors have rattled until fixed. Then one of them startyed leaking water when it rained, now fixed. This was caused by incorrect assmbly after sorting the rattles.

The steering problems are common for this model which Vauxhall say there isn't. They would though, wouldn't they?

I know this model has now been superceded but for anyone looking to purchase the older, up to 2010 version - don't.
