“Barclays Premier Life Account - I opened an account...”

General Comments
Barclays Premier Life Account - I opened an account with Barclays as a new customer on 23rd June 2008. I was offered a Premier Life Current Account and was offered a range of additional services such as dedicated call centre, Concierge, Airport lounge access, RAC membership and insurance if I agreed to pay a monthly fee. I agreed to this.

It is now 20th July, I am still yet to receive my debit card, I am unable to use my account, I have been given excuse after excuse from Barclays, my relationship manager is nowhere to be seen. They are blaming their Premier card suppliers. They are also refusing to refund this months fee despite me not being able to access my account.

To make matters worse to quote their customer service advisor "I can not give you any estimate on when your card will arrive as we are having distribution problems at the moment"

I am very unhappy with the level of service, considering this account is their so called "best account available". 1/10.
