Good Points
Slim, well made, brushed metal exterior, etched keypad, good large screen.
Overall call audio quality.
Bad Points
Outer screen small, battery life could be better, occasional blank white internal screen displayed, when phone is flipped, requiring the user to re-flip again to cure this, maybe down to software glitches.
Low capacity memory card for a phone of this calibre.
General Comments
I've owned the Motorola V3i for about ten months now, and it's been a good phone to me. At first I was initially disappointed with it due to local problems with the mast in my area, I could not receive a signal, and thus was unable to make or receive calls for about a fortnight, frustrating to say the least, but not the phone's fault.
However, after contacting my service provider several times to inform them of my difficulties, they sent an engineer out to me and the problem area of reception was identified and corrected.
The V3i was supposed to come with i-tunes, at the time of me taking out a contract, but this only applied to phones being supplied to certain geographical areas and not Britain. However I think the latest V3i's now come with the above on board?
Everywhere you go, nearly every phone you now see is a V3 or i's, so this is obviously a good sign.
Functionally I cannot fault the V3i and it gives a good account of itself. "It's a phone at the end of the day".
Mobile phones are obsolete so fast these days that it's hard to keep up, but hey, when one comes off the market, that makes my cuppa on a morning, then I'll snap one up.
