Good Points
I loved my Isuzu Trooper 3.0 TDi DOHC from the word "go" - it towed my 2 horses with ease (& comfort)- no mean feat as I live in a valley surrounded by steep hills in Wales - & was the most comfortable vehicle I've owned in terms of long journeys - loved the heated seats and got me anywhere & everywhere in deep snow. Found it responsive, positive gearbox, good accelaration, fantastic lock for parking (better than the Suzuki Vitara I'd owned previously) - all in all, a joy to drive...until..............

Bad Points
It blew up! Not impressed with the safety recall notice that referred vaguely to long term problems with engine emissions & advised me to check my oil every 1000 miles! Just got it back after 8 weeks off the road waiting for parts......now has new injectors, turbo, ceramic heater and "oil filtration system.." I now feel totally unsafe & can't wait to get shot...given that most of the long journeys I do are alone, and out of the range of a mobile phone - don't even get a signal at home!

General Comments
Although the performance of the vehicle did everything I wanted, I wold never buy Isuzu again, and the dealer who managed the recall issues for me doesn't sell this model 2nd hand any more.......although the car feels fine, I remain very nervous
