The Italian restaurant "Milan" in Worsley is beautifully decorated to a high quality standard with modern classy furnishing and is an ideal restaurant for a special meal out. Milan overlooks the canal lined with trees and the odd barge anchored up gives a pretty setting. Unfortunately, there is no outside seating for a summer lunch but has a car park to the rear for about 12 cars.
We found the staff to be pleasant and were even able to spend a couple of minutes to chat with us. Service was also of good standard and all the correct questions regarding the food were asked.
The menu was varied from simple choices to the more exotic like wild boar. Typical price range is pizza - around £6-£7 Fillet steak - £16 but there is plenty of dishes to choose from.
Food quality was above average but we thought there could have been more, after having a starter and main course we didn't leave full. If we were to go again we would order side dishes with the meal but this would then work out quite an expensive meal out.
House wine was perfect! One of the nicest wines I have tasted and was served at the correct temperature too.
Conclusion
Beautiful restaurant
Great setting
Nice food - but not enough of it
