Thanks for all the recommendations on th is site. I used this product X-Tex whihc I found to be a life saver.



I bought it from Toolstation, and removed all the artex from my front room, which has over the years driven me mad as it scagged the kids clothes and looked awful.



I agree it is a little messey, but what isnt? when your removing stuff. I scored the top painted surface with a stanley knife, covered it with X-Tex and then covered the walls with plastic film.



Next morning I pulled off the plastic sheeting and the paint had blistered and using a long handled blade scraper most of the paint came away. I re-applied and left it for a couple of hours and took the artex off, whcih came away like a dream.



Now I have smooth walls, so thank you Eco Solutions for inventing such a wondefully safe product. No more nitromors which used to make me really ill..
