General Comments
Have just bought a TomTom One prior to going on a UK touring holiday and have turned into a SatNav bore overnight.
If you haven't used SatNav before then take it from me that it's amazing. It's particularly useful when either arriving at or departing from an area with which you're not familiar. Saves time and more importantly money.
The TomTom One I've got is only for UK use, and may not have all the bells and whistles of more expensive models. But for the price it's a must-have. It will literally pay for itself in terms of fuel savings especially when the cheaper BP diesel is currently costing 138.9p per litre on the motorway.
Several reviewers have complained of major reliability and repair issues - I cannot comment, but clearly these could be very significant.
Otherwise, I'm at a loss to understand virtually any of the other adverse comments. They almost prevented from making a modest investment which is really a no-brainer. Buy one now if you haven't already got SatNav.
