General Comments
I went to Amsterdam on a mini cruise with P&O on the Pride of Hull. It cost only £66 for the both of us, on the current BOGOF offer. As you have probably guessed, the boat goes from Hull and does an overnight sail to Rotterdam, we set off at 9pm, and arrived at Rotterdam for 6.30 our time (remember that Europe is in front by 1 hour). So it does entail getting up very early! We got off the boat and got on our free transfer to Amsterdam at 8am (their time) and arrived in Amsterdam at 10am. We were then free to explore the city until 5pm when the bus picked us up to take us back to the boat. You then set sail at 9pm and arrive back to Hull at 8am. If you want to stay in Amsterdam for the night, you can at an extra cost of £20, then get the ferry home a day later. We didn't do this as we would have to find your own accommodation for the night.



There is a transfer to Rotterdam that only takes about 30mins, but we have heard that it is more of an Industrial town. There is another ferry - The Pride of York which sails from Hull to Bruge which I may try in the future!



Boat Facilities



We had a small cabin with bunkbeds, I think you can upgrade if you like, be we didnt. The cabin also had shower/toilet and wash facilities.



There are 2 main bars - Irish bar and Sunset bars, they usually have entertainment on such as Bingo, a band etc, and there is a Casino set back from the bars too if you fancy a flutter. There is an arcade, and a cinema showing quite up to date films too.



There are 2 restaurants, a buffet all you can eat type for £15 pp or a 3 course restaurant for 21.50 pp. If you fancy more of a snack, their is a continental bar which serve pizza, salad and such snacks. I think you can get food cheaper in the restaurants if you prebook either on the internet or maybe at reception.
