I contacted Boots customer service with a complaint. They emailed me with a reference number the same day and said they would be in touch within two working days. 5 days later still no response, so I sent a follow up email asking politely for a response. That was on the 10th of January. Guess what still no response. I purchased a pair of reading glasses from their Bletchley store following an eye test. My prescription is a balanced 2.5 in each eye. Could have and should have bought a cheep pair of the shelf for £1.99. Instead I spent £75 after discount on a designer pair, scratch resistant etc. After just under 6 weeks one lens is scratched and they seem to be constantly needing cleaning. I went back to the store and was asked if I did gardening, yes I do, well looks like they have been scratched by a twig, said the manager. But these are reading glasses I replied I wear them for READING, not gardening. I have been wearing prescription reading glasses for years and have never had a problem with them, in fact I am now wearing glasses I have had for 4 years, not 6 weeks. Does Boots care, I don't think so.
