Hi to anyone thinking of spending hard earned cash on a HGV course with Easy as HGV. PLEASE DO NOT!!!!!!.

I personally fell foul to this and now find myself out of pocket t the tune of £1800. I first rang Easy as HGV just over a year ago. I paid for my class 2 course,module 2 and module 4 etc. At the time of booking i did ask if i could take my course of lessons and test in the Atherton centre near Wigan as i am more familiar with this area and would obviously be more comfortable there. Easy as HGV agreed. When getting to the training company i was then told my lessons and test would be at Wrexham. Not a good start, but got on with the course anyway. I took my course with another gentleman who was getting his paid for by his employees and informed me he was only there to get out of work for the week. Of course easy as HGV cant be held responsible for this but how can this be fair? My course consisted of one hour driving in the morning and one hour in the afternoon. Aprox 8-10 hours over the week. Not the four full days or equivelant 20 hours, that you are told when you book.
At the lessons I was told to learn from the other gentleman who i was learning with, as he was driving and take on board his mistakes as thats part of your training. Needless to say under these circumstances and total lack of hours behind the wheel, i was unsuccessful in my first test attempt but had purchased the "pass protection" at £349. When going for my retest i was the told there was no pre-lessons booked before the test. When paying for this i was told i would get two hours before which i didnt and i was taken directly to the test centre and put straight into a test having not driven a truck for near on 4 weeks....In the meantime i had passed my module 2 but was told i couldnt take my module 4 until i had passed my practical. I then went to a different company to pass my practical as by now i had completely lost any faith in easy as HGV. I have since been back to them to book my module 4 to which they have now said the timescale has expired in which i could do the test. They said i will now have to pay again if i want to do it. They offered me a £75
discount therefore it would only cost £350 (like they were doing me a favour). Again i could not believe it as everywhere else the module 4 is only £250-£275.
Seriously i really hope people read this about my experience and take note. Easy as HGV are not only by far the most expensive HGV training organisation they must surely be the worst. Once they get your money from you,believe me they dont care unless you fail anything and thats when they chase you to book more retests with them at extortionate prices.

Honestly i really do hope this stops people falling foul of this!!
