“Woeful customer experience”

Bought a MUFC replica shirt for my son for Xmas in the "new" belfast store.
When opened Xmas morn the security tag had not been removed by the store. I didn't want to damage the item by removing myself so the Xmas gift was not fit for purpose as it could not be worn due the tag. I brought it back to store, an assistant manager (sic) told me there was nothing wrong with the item, he had removed the tag & all was well! I told him it was for a Xmas gift & could not be used because his store had failed to remove it on date of purchase, therefore I wanted a refund. He said he could not do this he only could give a credit note or exchange, he said there would be plenty of other times my son could use the shirt! I asked for the manager, none available, so another a/manager (v.sic) decided she would rather serve another customer before dealing with me, she also refused to refund, very rude to my wife in front of other customers.
I will never visit or purchase anything from these untrained and unprofessional people again, I have advised all my friends and family to do the same.
