We have recently had to make a claim on the policy for our Pharoah Hound Ozzy, unfortunately he's been having some issues with his spine which has required some investigation which caused quite a bit of money.
Thankfully when we rescued him we decided to take insurance through Petplan. Any time we have had to make a claim on the policy we have had absolutely no issues with regards to either the vet being paid directly or payment being made directly to ourselves.
It's obviously very important that you know the fine details when taking out a policy and we are very glad that it is in fact a lifetime policy and providing there are no breaks in the policy i.e. It's renewed each year then any illnessses will continue to be covered during the following years policy.
Petplan have polite, courteous staff on the phone who provide all the information and help I need when required.
