General Comments
Locks up once or twice a day and doesn't respond to remote. Have to unplug to reset.
Picture constantly disappears from screen taking 5 or so seconds to come back on. This is nothing to do with reception and happens sometimes once every 10 seconds making viewing impossible.
Remote interferes with my TV, sometimes turning the TV on or off instead of the freeview.
Sometimes distorts my CRT TV's picture with purple/blue/inverted magnetic artifacts in the corners and needs degaussing.
This is a replacement for a previous faulty Philips freeview box (not same model) bought from ASDA. Two faulty boxes in a row is just taking the mick and from now on I will return goods and complain as much as it is possible to do. Companies should not be allowed to trade with products as flawed as this - let's take a look at somewhere like Japan for an idea on how to do things properly. This doesn't happen there and we should be embarrassed. Countries like Japan, having such an excellent attitude to quality control and service, just laugh at us when they hear about things like this.
