Good Points
Unique, refreshing, mysterious, exciting.
Though it is expensive and short-lived I haven't found anything even close to being similar.
Bad Points
It doesn't last nearly as long as it should for the price.
Not enough sillage.
Difficult to acquire.
Definitely not for everyone or for every mood.
General Comments
I love Frederic Malle's En Passant, L'artisan's Dzing! and Demeter's Dirt(in that order), and Serge Lutens Iris Silver Mist resides within that lovely pungeant world of fragrances. It reminds me of a fresh cucumber still covered with warm, moist earth. The drydown is a beautiful, cold metallic iris. It isn't very long lasting, but this is such an unusual and amazing fragrance that it's hard to care about how much each dab or spritz costs; you just want to keep smelling that amazing iris and benzoin smell. Less a seasonal fragrance, and more (much more) a mood fragrance, ISM is the emotional equivalent of being caught in a chilling, thunderless downpour with no umbrella...wearing a white dress; exposed and at the same time, exhilarated.
