My actual flight was fine, more or less on time, reasonably comfortable, not too expensive. BUT I have a serious complaint. I paid for my flight using my Mastercard after the website declined my Amex card twice. Imagine my surprise to discover AirAsia billed me for the "declined" cards- three payments in total for one flight! If I hadn't been paying close attention to my credit card bills I might have missed it. It shouldn't be possible yet it happened. That was back in September.
So far AirAsia have never replied to my complaint about this, no explanation, no apology, nothing. My credit card company looked at my evidence and cancelled the charges so I'm not out of pocket. But if you can't trust that a declined card really means declined why would anyone trust them at all?
