“It looks nice, but you can't speed dial any numbers,...”

Written on: 14/03/2003 by fred. (1 review written)

Good Points
looks, feel, clear screen, not cluttered up with pointless features.

Bad Points
barely visible missed call message, lack of speed-dial, ringtones, can't have write SMS as shortcut. Feeble vibrate.

General Comments
It looks nice, but you can't speed dial any numbers, you have to go into the phone book. When you have a missed call, it just says "1 call" in tiny writing at the bottom of the screen (easily overlooked. There is no icon or prominent on screen message, and if you have it in power saving mode, turning the phone on to illuminate the screen obscures this 1 call message with the word "menu." If you press the green button to go into the call records, it doesn't distinguish between missed calls and taken calls other than by the call duration so at a glance you can't check if you have missed a call. Included ring tones aren't up to much, there's only one semi normal one. You have to buy a data cable to download anymore. Too many button presses to send a text message. The vibrate alert is pretty faint, you might miss it. After receiving a message, you can't read it with one button press, you have to go through a menu. It looks and feels like a classy phone and its faults are fairly minor though annoying, but overall I am going to take mine back within the trial period for a refund. If you want decent built in (normal) ringtones and to know when you've missed a call easily, this isn't the phone for you. I does look and feel nice though, and it's generally ok. For a hundred and twenty quid though, I wanted a little bit more. There aren't really very many features on it either, which I actually think is probably a good point.
