Good Points
Good color and aesthetics. Light-weight.
Hands - free set is boxed in with the phone
Bad Points
1.Charging Slot, hands-free connector badly made, and without the covers supplied (not long-lasting); will take in dust, moisture etc.
2. (Vibra + Melody) ring mode just does the vibrations.
3. Backlight does not remain switched-on for the entire duration of a call, therefore difficult to access buttons/menu while talking in low-light conditions.
General Comments
Let's face it.....compared to the Nokia 3315, this Samsung SGH-R220 phone sucks. I had a Nokia 5110i before I bought this one; the only minus point about that model is its weight. No other complaints at all. Delivers all that it promises. This model was released in India with a very catchy advertisement. But it looks to be a hastily designed model, made to order for the gullible Indian public.
