Very road worthy (had for 9+ years, but I always use cases).
The chrome hardware is excellent.
It is easy to set-up and tear down every time.
The cast hoops are flawless in tuning.
The tuning lugs are also castings, and they have a tendency to rattle in studio work, but hey, for $700 you can upgrade to machined!
Also, the snare drum is weak sounding to me, so I still use my 1976 Tama 9 ply maple 6 1/2.
I've been playing 40 years and find the cost commitment for drum kits hard to go around when switching kits. The Tama Rockstar Custom drum kit is very road worthy, well built and easy to set-up.
