Seriously consider the long term impact of the Lighterlife diet.. You lose weight on this diet because you stop eating. So yes, it does what it says -you lose weight,but you also lose nutrients which can have an impact that lasts for years. I was on it for 3.5 months and and came off it immediately after my doctor took a blood test and saw alarming results.

The cognative therapy is the only positive thing - it makes you look differently at food. Starving yourself is not safe (no matter what your councellor is taught to say) I lost 5 stone in 3.5 months, but the irreversable damage it did to my health was not worth any weight loss. I know a number of people who have done this diet - have lost weight, and the majority have health issues caused by the diet. The councellors will never tell you about this side of the diet - mine even went so far as to suggest these things weren't probelms and were normal. A doctors visit once a month won't pick up the health risks unless a blood test is taken.
