have just got back from a week at cala gran and thoroughly enjoyed it. thought the funstars were great(all 5 of them) and entertained the kids perfectly. the shows like the live band on the friday made it feel like a different night out.
Plenty to do off the site but not great if you don't have a car and if you do drive into blackpool its at least a fiver to park.
We had an 8 berth caravan and it was fine. a little mould on a bedroom wall but we had a spare room so didnt use that room. had everything we needed in the caravan even down to cloths. we were located a stones throw from the main building and it was silent all day and night. swimming pool was fine but due to it being quiet the slide was closed. the staff in the amusements are a bit slow and miserable but bar staff were pleasant. food is great, not a lot on your plate but good value. only had 3 issues really... firstly if it rains the park floods. secondly the heat in the main building is unbearable and third is the flies. its not a major issue but they are there. overall loved it and would go again. would also recommend it to friends who arent fussy, complaining types.
