We bought a Stearns & Foster Southerton Cushion Queen size mattress 4 years ago. After one year, the mattress began to sag. Today there are two deep impressions in the mattress where my wife and I sleep, and a ridge down the middle making it imposssible to sleep on. I tried sleeping on the ridge but always end up falling into the hole. We paid almost $2000 for this mattress. We had a rep from Raymour & Flanigan (where we bought it) look at it and he says the impressions aren't an 1 & 1/2" deep yet so they won't do anything. I argued that the springs failed but have just enough tension left in them to make the indents look less than they are. My wife now sleeps on our old mattress in our spare bedroom and I pile blankets under me so I can still sleep on this mattress. I was going to contact Stearns & Foster but after reading the reviews on this site, I would be wasting my time. It's obvious their warranty is useless and they don't care about losing customers. So I suggest putting a memo on your refrigerator reminding you to never buy anything from Stearns & Foster. If enough people do this, we might be able to put these garbage dealers out of business!
