Good Points
Easy to use website..
Bad Points
Lack of communication.. Wrong information.. Customer service does not have any idea when the delivery will be for a product that was advertised with delivery within 7 - 10 working days. Unstamped letters leading to waste of time and money.
General Comments
I ordered a Hotpoint SDW80G Dishwasher on the morning of the 3rd of January 2007. I ordered from them as the website advertised delivery within 7 - 10 working days (the site will check availability before you can add the item to the shopping basket).
On the 5th of January I received an e-mail with a message "Your delivery has been booked for 01/01/2008 all day"... I called the customer service number to enquire, and they told it was a mistake and that I will be getting a delivery call by the 15th of January. As I did not receive any call by the 15th, I called them up and the Currys customer service rep told me they can't give a date ... One of the reasons for ordering online is to avoid the wasting of time. On the 18th I got a card from Royal mail to collect post, paying £1.23 (23p for postage and £1 handling fee) for mail with no stamp on it and no sender's address. Thinking that it can be valid mail I went to the collection center in-between my busy working schedule, paid the money and got the mail.. When I opened the envelop, it was nothing but the receipt for £264.99 that Currys took from my card for the product I am still waiting for.
I am totally disappointed by their service and poor communication.
