General Comments
I had been looking to make the move to a precharge air rifle for quite some time. I wanted the advantage of a bolt action rifle, and liked the fact that they where light weight. After a good look I finally settled on the AGS PCR 1. My first impressions of the rifle where good, it's light weight, compact design ment that it was good in the field and its basic but robust stock meant that it could take the rigors of hunting. After a full charge of gas I managed to sight it in about 15 mines and was getting groups about the size of a 10p at 35 yards. On its first trip out I bagged a bunny. I hit the rabbit with a clean headshot at around 25 yards and the Coney dropped straight away. Due to the weather I have not been able to shoot since, but I will be going ratting soon, so I'll be sure to update this review with more results. My opinion of this rifle so far is very good indeed.
