CZ 455 American, NOT the 452
I tried a friend's CZ while I was visiting him and was impressed by the quality. I ordered a 455 American as soon as I got home. It arrived at the gun shop in PERFECT order. The wood is gorgeous and the bolt is incredibly smooth. The trigger was a bit on the heavy side for me and had some creep. A simple "poor man's trigger job" took care of that. It now breaks clean at 9 oz with ZERO creep. I cannot say enough about the accuracy of this wonderful rifle. It took some time to find the ammo that it likes, but I did find it. CCI Standard Velocity is the preferred fodder. ON A GOOD DAY, it will hold 1" at 200 measured yards. On a bad day it is about 2". I have pillar bedded it and done some bolt work to make it a little smoother, but that is it. I have it topped with a Tasco 6-24x42mm AO mil-dot. THE SCOPE IS SHIMMED to provide enough adjustment range and still have leeway. I made a custom elevation turret and have marked it to 270 yards. It would be almost impossible to hunt past 100 yards without the labeled turret. Take a range finder hunting with you to get on target past 100 yards as the standard velocity starts dropping pretty fast past 100 yards. It drops about 56 inches from 75 yards to 200. This is the most accurate rifle I have EVER shot, PERIOD. If you are in the market for a 22LR, look no further than the wonderful CZ 455 American in 22LR.I have a video on youtube of the rifle shooting at 200 yards. It is titled "CZ 455 22LR 200 yards".

I also have videos of how to pillar bed it. Just look at my other videos. I will probably do one on the trigger job too.
