I'm a long-time shooter and have had many firearms pass in and out of my possession over the years. Very few of these have managed to stay in my collection for very long due in large part to their lack of accuracy, reliability, and overall failings in design and usability. I admit that I'm a 'snob' when it comes to firearms with 'repeatable accuracy' being my major criterion. When first purchased, my CZ 452 American in .22LR didn't elicit any special attention from me - I simply needed a fairly accurate .22LR for plinking and varmint control and I'd heard good things about CZ's offerings and liked the fit and finish of the rifles walnut stock and smoother than normal action. After shooting a box or five of ammo through it I knew it was DEFINITELY accurate enough to meet my standards (<1.0 MOA @ 100 yards with Federal Auto Match). So much so, that I've since purchased a Pride Fowler 3-9x32mm scope with their Rapid Reticule for .22LR to top it off. The combination of the CZ 452 American and the Pride Fowler's bullet drop compensating reticule makes for an INSANELY accurate little rifle out to 200 yards!! I can't recommend this rifle & scope combo enough. If you're interested in a highly accurate, handy, affordable .22LR, the CZ 452 American and Pride Fowler Rapid Reticule scope is a winner!
