General Comments
I ordered customised photo calendars from Snapfish to give relatives for Christmas. I chose Snapfish as they are a subsidiary of HP so I was expected a high quality end product that would match the high price ( £20 per calendar). The product arrived quickly and on first inspection seemed to be fine. However, looking at the product closely the quality was very poor. The photographs (taken with a professional standard 12MP digital SLR) looked to be poorly reproduced, lacking the colour and detail of the original pictures that i uploaded to their site, and the dates for Decemeber bank holidays were printed in the corresponding dates for October. I sent these back on Christmas eve, having to apologise to my relatives for their missing Christmas presents and it has taken two months to receive replacements. The customer service I encountered while attempting to rectify this mistake was some of the worst I have EVER experienced. At no point was I kept informed of what was going on, not even that they had received the items I had returned (even though they were expecting them) and so I had to badger them every step of the way to find out what was going on. Three different people dealt with my complaint, seemingly without speaking to te previous agent or even reading the emails I had sent. A low point of this communication (or lack there of) occured when a customer service representative emailed me on the 30th of January apologising that I was yet to receive my order, as it had been posted on the 15th of December and must have been delayed in the post!
When the finished calendars finally arrived, the quality was better but still not what I expected, but I have lost the will to do anything more about it, the first attempt took two months, meaning that I now have to give relatives christmas presents in February that only have 12 useful months remaining in them.
