“All in all the Mercedes Benz V-Class 2.3 V230 Ambiente...”

written by doyle on 08/11/2006

Good Points
Not many MPVs of its time can catalogue the items on board such as: air-con, heated seats, electric windows, electric twin sunroofs, rest heater, air suspension, leather seats, full 10 disc stereo tape cassette, cruise control, rear power sockets for the little gamers out there, electric lumber support, 7 seats, rear table, plenty of space for shopping or dog, tinted windows, abs, power steering, central locking and alarm.....KIA-don't think so, Chrysler-don't think so, Renault-no way and Ford-joking, so not all bad.

Bad Points
Gearbox problems are worrying, noisy hydraulics, handling (but not sports car).
Mercedes fault codes drive you up the wall, 2.8 juicy on fuel, plastics if removed never go back correctly, rusting around bottom edges of doors and odd spot of bubbled paint in middle of paint work occurs.

General Comments
All in all the Mercedes Benz V-Class 2.3 V230 Ambiente is a pretty solid MPV and has few build faults. From my experiences with mine, it is very comfortable and high up which is good for viewing ahead. Parts can be pricey. It still drives like the Vito and not like the car, like the other MPVs mostly do.
